What we collect and why

Enquiries

When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the subject and your message. When you request a DWG drawing we collect your name, email address, company or practice, phone number if you give it, notes about your project and the profile you asked about. Each submission also records the date, time and the IP address it was sent from.

We use this information to answer your enquiry, to send the drawing you asked for and to keep a record of our correspondence with you. Submissions are stored on this website and emailed to us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you go on to place an order, the steps needed to enter into a contract with you.

Orders and samples

When you order a sample or a product we collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and the details of your order. We use this to process and deliver your order, to contact you about it and to keep the records the law requires us to keep. Our lawful basis is the contract between us and our legal obligations. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we do not see or store your full card details.

If you create an account, your details and order history are kept so that you can see your orders and check out faster next time.

Cookies

This website sets the cookies it needs to work. WooCommerce, the shop software, sets cookies that remember your basket and your session while you shop. If you choose to see prices including VAT, a cookie remembers that choice for a year.

We also use Google Tag Manager to measure whether our Google Ads bring people to this website. It sets Google advertising cookies, such as _gcl_au, but only if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, no advertising cookies are set. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

The map on our contact page comes from Google Maps and loads with the page, whatever you choose on the cookie banner. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.

Who else sees your information

The contact page shows a map provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. Links to WhatsApp, Instagram and other services take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. Our email provider, our web host and our payment provider process information on our behalf so that this website and our business can run. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone else for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our records of the work we discussed with you. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we have to keep it by law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable form.
